Teszt & Tea Requirement Engineering in Agile - 2017.05.18 Budapest
Bernd Aschauer (IREB, aschauer IT & Business) - „IREB’s RE@Agile is bridging the gap in requirements engineering“
Why is it important to start software development with good requirements engineering? Because it reduces time and development costs and raises software quality as well as user satisfaction. In addition to these basic concepts Bernd is introducing the new IREB’s standard RE@Agile which will bridge the gap between traditional software development concepts and the agile world.
He is observing the following thrilling questions:
• Do we still need requirements engineering in an agile world?
• Which concepts are good enough to enrich each of these worlds?
• How do requirements engineers or product owners effectively cooperate with test managers and testers?
• How do we reduce software development costs sustainable applying the new concepts?
Bernd Aschauer is founder and CEO of Aschauer IT & Business GmbH, a leading Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering Expert-Group in Austria, which was founded in 2003.
Bernd is a certified professional for requirements engineering and certified software archtitect. His core competencies include the analysis and management of requirements as well as software development and big data.
Before that, he had worked as a project manager, architect or senior developer in various large-scale projects with Austria's top-50 companies. Bernd started his career in 1988 at Coca Cola Computer Services with international software development projects.
Vincent Sinclaire (Nokia Bell Labs)- Software Robustness in Agile
We can define software robustness as the degree to which a system or component can function correctly in the presence of invalid inputs or stressful environmental conditions. However, as teams move more and more to Agile and indeed Devops, we must build in reliability right from the start. This talk outlines how to develop system level and feature level reliability requirements. We will describe how to assure these requirements flow through to the teams who must implement them. Finally, we will explore how we can test for software reliability within an Agile environment. We will also consider the challenges of assuring reliability when teams are highly distributed across multiple sites and time zones.
Vincent Sinclair is a member of the software reliability group within Nokia Bell Labs, Dublin, Ireland. He is responsible to mentor product development and test teams to improve the robustness of the software systems and solutions delivered by Nokia. He has twenty five years’ experience working around the globe, driving improvements in the reliability and quality of telecommunications networks. Vincent has delivered many tutorials on software reliability across USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Vincent holds an MSc in Quality with a thesis on software quality, a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Electronic Engineering with Telecommunications and a B.S in Mathematics.
